How to Apply Kinesiology Tape for BICEP PAIN and BICEP TENDONITIS. Kinesiology Tape can be used to help provide pain relief and support to injured areas. All you need is a sharp pair of scissors and 2 minutes of your time.

YOU WILL NEED

KINESIOLOGY TAPING FOR BICEPS TENDINOPOTHY

  • Measure a strip of tape along the length of the bicep and cut an I STRIP.

  • Round the edges and tear the backing paper in 2 sections.

  • Apply the end of the tape to the front of the chest, just above the bicep tendon.

  • Apply the next section of tape with 50% stretch directly over the bicep tendon.

  • Stretch the arm down and behind, making it as straight as possible. This places the bicep muscle on stretch.

  • Stick the rest of the strip down with 0% stretch, aiming directly down the belly of the muscle.

  • Cut a short strip of tape, round the corners and rip the backing paper into 3 sections.

  • Remove the middle of the backing paper and apply the tape with 50% stretch over the biceps tendon.

  • Stick the ends of the tape down with 0% stretch.

  • Wait at least 30 minutes before beginning any exercise.
