Pulse oximetry is a non-invasive and painless test that measures your oxygen saturation level (or the oxygen levels in your blood). Our PULSE OXIMETER is a small, clip-like device that attaches to your finger and is able to tell you your oxygen saturation levels, along with your heart rate, in 8-10 seconds. It is a non-invasive, painless, and easy process that can be used by adults and children (not suitable for neonatal or infants).
Measures your SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation levels), Pulse Rate and Pulse Strength.
EASY TO USE
One button use and a bright, rotating LCD display for easy reading.
The Oximeter can accurately determine your SpO2 and Pulse Rate in just 8 seconds.
READY TO GO
It includes 2 x AAA Batteries and auto powers off after use.
Oximeters are used by doctors and nurses in NHS approved Hospitals and Private Surgeries.
Ideal for domestic use. It is suitable for the elderly, adults and children.
- PLACE YOUR FINGER INSIDE THE OXIMETER
Pinch the OXIMETER at the end to open the sensor. Place your middle finger inside the oximeter with your nail facing upwards. You should be able to see the red light of the sensor glow through your finger nail. Press the button on top of the OXIMETER.
- WAIT 8-10 SECONDS
The OXIMETER will then begin to work by passing small beams of infrared light through the blood in your finger. This measures the amount of oxygen in your blood, and your heart rate, by assessing changes in light absorption between oxygenated or deoxygenated blood. This is a painless process and lasts around 8-10 seconds.
- GET YOUR RESULTS
Once the OXIMETER has made the reading, it will display the results on the clear LED screen. Our OXIMETER is accurate to within 2%.
Once the results are displayed, you can press the button once again to change the display to horizontal or vertical in order to make it easier to read. The device will auto power off shortly after you remove your finger.
- HOW DOES A PULSE OXIMETER WORK?
The PULSE OXIMETER works by passing small beams of infrared light through the blood in your finger. This is a painless process and lasts around 8-10 seconds.

- SpO2 Accuracy: ±2%
- PR Declared Accuracy range: 25-250 bpm
- PR Accuracy: 3 bpm
- CAN I CHANGE THE DISPLAY ORIENTATION?
Yes, simply press the button on top of the oximeter to flip the display.
- WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE OXIMETER BOX?
Our PULSE OXIMETER includes:
- 1 x Finger Pulse Oximeter (Pulse Rate & Oxygen Saturation Monitor)
- 2 x AAA batteries
- 1 x Neck Lanyard
- 1 x User Guide
- WHAT IS A SAFE LEVEL OF OXYGEN SATURATION?
Normal range of oxygen saturation: SpO2 95%-99%.
Insufficient oxygen saturation: SpO2 90% – 95%
Mild hypoxia: SpO 2 < 90%
Severe hypoxia: SpO 2 < 85%
If your blood oxygen saturation falls below 95% then contact a medical professional immediately for further advice.
- WHAT IS A NORMAL HEART RATE?
Most adults have a resting heart rate between 60 and 100bpm.
The fitter you are, the lower your resting heart rate is likely to be. For example, athletes may have a resting heart rate of 40 to 60bpm, or lower.
See a GP to get checked if you think your heart rate is continuously above 120bpm or below 40bpm, although it may simply be that this is normal for you.
For further information please visit the NHS website.
- WHAT IS A NORMAL PERFUSION INDEX?
Perfusion Index, or PI, is a relative assessment of the pulse strength at the monitoring site i.e. your finger. The PI display ranges from .02% (very weak pulse strength) to 20% (very strong pulse strength).
There is no specific “normal” value for perfusion index, each person should establish their own baseline value and note how it changes over time. A higher perfusion index means greater blood flow to the finger and a lower perfusion index means lower blood flow to the finger.
Please, note any changes to your perfusion index and whether you feel any differently when your perfusion index is lower.
