Foil Blanket

Foil blankets (also called space blankets or emergency blankets) are used to prevent hypothermia by reflecting body heat back to the person. They're essential for treating shock, exposure to cold weather, or maintaining body temperature after injury when normal warming methods aren't available.

The metallized surface reflects up to 90% of radiated body heat back toward the person, while the waterproof material blocks wind and moisture. This creates an effective thermal barrier that helps maintain core body temperature without requiring any external heat source.

Wrap the blanket around the person with the reflective (shiny) side facing inward toward their body. Ensure good coverage, especially around the torso and head area. The blanket can be used over clothing or other blankets for additional insulation.

While designed primarily for emergency single-use, foil blankets can be reused if handled carefully. However, they tear easily and may lose effectiveness if damaged. For critical situations, it's best to have fresh blankets available.

Extremely compact - most foil blankets fold down to the size of a small paperback book or smaller, making them ideal for first aid kits, car emergency supplies, hiking packs, or workplace safety equipment where space is limited.

Our standard emergency foil blanket is 130cm x 210cm (approximately 4 x 7 feet), which is large enough to wrap around an adult person while remaining lightweight and compact when folded.
