What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Cookies

Using our website is usually possible without providing personal data. When placing an order, it is essential to provide certain personal data so that we are able to fulfill your order seamlessly, this includes certain contact information (name, address, email address) so that you can be contacted in the rare case that something goes wrong with your order. All other data is voluntarily provided.

We expressly state that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating via email) can have security gaps. Seamless protection of data from access by third-parties is not possible.

This website uses Google Analytics and WordPress. Both Google Analytics and WordPress use “cookies” to help the website analyze how users use the site.

Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer, nor do they contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our offering more user-friendly, more effective, and more secure – including faster load times and secure storing of passwords. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and that are saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called »session cookies«. They are automatically deleted after your visit is concluded. Other cookies remain stored on your computer until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser at the next visit and reduce the need to load an entire webpage. You can configure your browser in such a manner that you are informed of the setting of cookies, and that you only permit cookies on a case-by-case basis, that you activate the acceptance of cookies for specific cases, or reject the acceptance of all cookies, as well as activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Deactivation of cookies can restrict the functionality of this website.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google Analytics and WordPress on servers in the United States. Both companies will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for us as website operators and for remarketing and personalised recommendation purposes. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google Analytics and WordPress in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Social Media Pixels

We utilise social media pixels, which are small pieces of code embedded on our website, to understand user behaviour and optimise our online advertising campaigns. These pixels allow us to track conversions from social media ads, retarget potential customers, and gather aggregated data about traffic patterns and interactions. While these tools help us enhance our online presence and offer relevant content to our audience, we ensure that the data collected is anonymised and does not personally identify individual users. If you have any concerns about how we use social media pixels or any other tracking tools, please reach out to us.

Server-Log-Files

The provider of the web pages captures and saves information automatically in so-called server log files, which are automatically sent to us by your browser. These are:

Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer
Date and time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific people. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to examine the data subsequently, if we have concrete indications of illegal use.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries by means of the contact form, your data from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be saved for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. We will not forward this data without your consent.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses the so-called Web fonts, which are provided by Google for displaying the fonts in a uniform manner. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts to your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection in your browser’s address line when it changes from “http://” to “https://” and the lock icon in your browser line is visible. If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Prohibition of promotion mails

Use of our company data, including names, email addresses, phones numbers and other data published on our website is expressively prohibited for the sending of unsolicited advertisements and information materials. The site operators reserve the right to take legal action in case of unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails. The contact details on this website are solely for the purpose of potential or existing customers and partners.

Contents of marketing emails

We send emails and other electronic notifications with promotional information only with the consent of the recipient or a legal authorisation, or under the terms of legitimate interest to business customers. Our marketing emails contain information about products and promotions such as competitions and discount offers. We expressively ask for consent to send these emails during the checkout process or if you sign up on the website and you have the right to unsubscribe at any time with no reason needing to be given. You can opt-in again at any time.

To sign up for the newsletter, it is sufficient if you specify your e-mail address. We also request you to provide your first and last name. These details are used only for personalising the newsletter.

Double opt-in and log in

The registration to our newsletter happens in a so-called double opt-in process. This means that you will receive an e-mail after registration asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary, so no one can log-in using some other e-mail address.

The newsletter registrations are logged to have proof of the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes storing the date and time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address. The changes made to your data stored at Active Campaign are also logged.

Statistical survey and analysis

The newsletter contains a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel sized file that is retrieved when the newsletter is opened from the Active Campaign server. During this retrieval, technical information like information about your browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, are captured. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times.
The statistical survey also includes information about whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. This information can be mapped to the individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons. Neither we nor Active Campaign intend to monitor individual users. The analyses are used to understand the reading habits of our users and to customise the contents for them, or to send varied content according to the interests of our users.

Online retrieval and data management

There are cases where we redirect the newsletter recipients to the Web pages of Active Campaign. For example, our newsletter contains a link using which the newsletter recipients can retrieve the newsletters online (e.g. in case of display issues in the e-mail program). In addition, newsletter recipients can also correct their data, for example, the email address. Likewise, the Data privacy policy of Active Campaign is also available on their site.

In this context we would like to point out that on the web pages of Active Campaign cookies are used and therefore personal data are processed by Active Campaign, its partners and used service providers (e. g. Google Analytics). We do not have any influence on this data capturing. For more information, please refer to the Data privacy policy of Active Campaign. In addition, we would like to draw your attention to the possibilities of objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites http: and http: (for the European region).

Termination/cancellation

You can cancel the newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. By doing so, your consent for sending it via Active Campaign and the statistical analysis are also cancelled at the same time. The dispatch via Active Campaign or the statistical analysis cannot be cancelled separately.
You will find a link for cancelling the newsletter at the end of each Active Campaign email that is sent.

Information Deletion & Complaints

Data Storage

We will hold your data until you withdraw your consent. You have the right at any time to receive information at no charge concerning your stored personal data, the origin and recipients of your personal data, and the purpose for which your personal data is processed, as well as a right to have your personal data corrected, blocked, or deleted. In this regard, or if you have questions concerning personal data, you can contact us at any time via the address specified in the imprint.

Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with how your data is used or held, you retain the right to complain to the ICO.
